Privacy Policy

This Policy explains how Edgewise collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our websites and services.

1. Who we are

Edgewise operates the Edgewise prediction market analytics and social platform. This Privacy Policy applies to information processed when you use our service. For questions, contact support@edgewise.app.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile information. When you register, we collect identifiers such as email address, authentication data from our auth provider, display name, public slug, profile settings, and preferences you save in the product.

Trading and connection data. If you connect Kalshi, Polymarket, or upload PredictIt data, we process trade and fill information retrieved through those connections or files (for example market identifiers, sides, sizes, timestamps, and related metadata needed to show performance and social features).

Usage and technical data. We may collect logs, device and browser type, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, and diagnostic data to secure the service, fix errors, and understand product usage in aggregate.

Payments. If you purchase Edgewise Premium or subscribe to a Pro creator, Stripe processes payment card and billing details. We receive limited billing metadata from Stripe (such as subscription status and customer identifiers), not your full card number.

Communications. If you email support or use in-product messaging features, we retain those messages as needed to respond and maintain records.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve Edgewise (syncing trades, charts, leaderboards, notifications, Pro features).
  • Authenticate users, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Process subscriptions, payouts, and customer support.
  • Send service-related emails (for example sign-in links, billing receipts, important product changes).
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

Where required by law, we rely on appropriate legal bases (such as performance of a contract, legitimate interests balanced against your rights, or consent) for processing.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers who process it on our instructions (hosting, authentication, payments, email), and when you choose to make information public (for example a public profile or Pro subscriber-only content visible to subscribers).

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer with notice where required.

5. Third-party services

Edgewise relies on integrations you authorize or that are necessary to run the product, including:

  • Kalshi and Polymarket — when you connect accounts, data is exchanged under their terms and API policies as well as ours.
  • Stripe— payment processing, subscriptions, and creator payouts (including Stripe Connect where applicable). Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data they collect.
  • Supabase (or comparable infrastructure) — authentication, database storage, and related backend services for accounts and application data.

These providers may process data in the United States or other countries. Their use of information is governed by their respective policies.

6. Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations (for example tax and accounting records), resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Trading sync data may be retained to power historical analytics unless you delete your account or we provide a deletion flow for specific datasets. Backup copies may persist for a limited period after deletion.

7. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls and encryption in transit where appropriate. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may update some information in Settings. To exercise other rights, contact support@edgewise.app. We will respond consistent with applicable law. You may opt out of promotional emails via the unsubscribe link where provided; transactional messages may continue.

9. Children

Edgewise is not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required for online services in your region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information so we can take appropriate steps.

10. International users

If you access Edgewise from outside the United States, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated through the product or by email where appropriate.
